One small box for rehearsal, stage and studio.
Tuesday is rehearsal, Saturday is the gig, and next week the band records. The MR18 goes to all three. It is compact and easy to transport, at 3.9 kg. Sixteen XLR/TRS combo jacks feed Midas PRO preamps, and every one can switch on 48 V phantom power.
Tune the monitors from the stage
The built-in Wifi module means no external router is needed. Adjust the monitors while standing on stage, then refine the main mix from anywhere in the crowd. Six XLR aux outputs feed active monitors or headphone mixers. The ULTRANET port lets you add P16-M personal mixers. Four stereo effects processors run the same effects as the M32 mixer, including reverb, echo and chorus.

Help for panels and meetings
In the M AIR Edit software, AutoMix serves meetings and panel discussions with several speech microphones. The microphone being spoken to takes gain from unused channels. That reduces background noise and raises the level before feedback. Two automix groups operate independently.

Every channel recorded, ready to mix later
Over USB, the MR18 is also an 18 x 18 audio and MIDI interface. Record up to 18 channels at once and play 18 back. Multitrack a live show for later mixing, or use it as a home studio interface. Windows needs a driver download.
