MIDAS PRO2 and PRO2C Offline Editor Generation-II G2.05

The MIDAS Offline Editor allows you to create, edit and view show files for an XL8 on any Intel-based Apple Mac computer running OSX 10.6 (Snow Leopard) or OSX 10.7 (Lion). You can now prepare shows ahead of time, learn the console operation, migrate your PRO2 or PRO2C show to an XL8 console or vice-versa and so on – all from the comfort of your room without access to a console. The Offline Editor allows full control of all parameters – including creation of show files, management of preset libraries, system setup and patching and so on: anything you can do on the console you can do on the Offline Editor, without learning any new operational methods.

You can run either the PRO-Series (PRO2, 2C, 3, 6, 9) version or the XL8 version to create your show – as on the physical consoles, all will open the same show files, but you are limited to the available resources on that console.

The MIDAS Offline Editor runs in exactly the same manner as the console software with the addition of one extra screen on the PRO-Series (PRO2, 2C, 3, 6, 9) OE, which is an overview screen designed to ease navigation (the XL8 version does not contain the overview). You load and save your show to and from a USB key and import onto your control centre in the normal way.

Improvements
Generation-II Offline Editor over previous versions:

• FX Pack – the following FX have been added: Ambience Reverb, Chamber Reverb, Hall Reverb, Plate reverb, Vintage Reverb, Dual Stereo Delay, Dual Stereo Chorus, 8x8 Matrix
• Dynamic EQ, DL251 support, and other improvements have been migrated from PRO2 or PRO2C to all other consoles (for PRO Series and XL8)
• Hardware safes screen, select follows solo preferences update, solo linking, mirror link pans, preferences screen refresh, send pan follows output pan
• USB mount issue

System requirements
Intel-based Apple Mac computer 512 MB RAM or higher (1GB recommended) Minimum 1024x768 screen resolution recommended (will run on lesser resolutions with scroll bars) 200 Mbytes free disk space. Mac OSX 10.6 and 10.7.
