Heritage HSUtil Host Updater

What is it, and why do I need it?
The HSUTIL Version 2.0 Software runs on a PC to re-program the internal Host Code that runs inside Heritage-series consoles. It also allows you to upload and download scene memories to/from your console using a PC.
If you need to update your console from a Windows NT or Windows 2000 PC, or if you need any of the other features described below, you should upgrade the updater to this version.

New Features:

• You can now chose the Communications port the software will use (1-4)
• Uploading of scenes to consoles has been made more reliable. The screen now also displays the scene number uploaded as the operation is carried out.
• Changes have been made to handle the communications port for use under Windows NT and Windows 2000.
What do I need to do it, and how do I go about doing it?
To program the console with this software or to upload and download the console scene memories, you will need:
• A PC with an available serial port (‘COM1’ to ‘COM4’ for example);
• A Null Modem cable (as described in ‘How to Program the Heritage Series’, see link below);
• The HSUtil PC application (see link below);
• The appropriate console Host Software (see links below).

Follow the “How to program the Heritage Series” link for an explanation of the process you need to do to program the console.
