Heritage H1000 RCS V1.11

What is it, and why do I need it?
The Heritage 1000 Remote Control Software V1.11 (previously known as H1000 Library Manager) is one of the add-ins to the Elgar shell. The Heritage 1000 RCS allows you to create or edit scene data for a Heritage 1000 Console, store and retrieve the data to their PC and send and receive the scene data to and from a Heritage 1000 console. This release upgrades version 1.10. Version 1.11 fixes a minor problem with uploads and downloads on 32-channel desks. We recommend that all users upgrade to this version.
Note: the Elgar Library Manager Shell is no longer included in this installer – please download version 2.02 of the Elgar Library Manager Shell from this link at the end of this page.

Enhanced Features:
• Many, many usability enhancements and fixes!
• Bi-Directional communication between PC and console – in show mode, PC and console will always stay in step.
• ‘Show Mode’ – prevents accidental changes by allowing only navigation buttons to operate
• Each scene now has a full text editor for adding scene notes
• Uses the new Elgar Comms Manager, which allows connection to multiple consoles and management of all comms functions outside of the H1000RCS AddIn.

What do I need to do it, and how do I go about doing it?
To run the Heritage 1000 Remote Control Software, you will need:
• A PC with at least the following specification:
Pentium 3 500Mhz (or equivalent)
256MB RAM
10GB hard drive
At least 1 COM port (for connection to Console)
Note that we recommend a P4 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM if you are editing large amounts of scene data. An approved USB to serial converter is suitable if your PC has no COM ports. Refer to the FAQ section for details of how to configure a USB to serial converter.
• A display resolution of at least 1024 X 768 pixels.
• Windows 2000 or Windows XP.
• A standard Null Modem 9-pin serial cable.
• IMPORTANT: Microsoft .Net framework 1.1 MUST be installed on your PC prior to installing the Heritage 1000 Library software.
• IMPORTANT: Version 2.02 of the Elgar Library Manager shell must be installed before installing this update. You will not be able to install this update if Elgar V2.02 is not installed.
• We also strongly recommend you run Windows Update (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com) to make sure all your PC components are fully up to date.
