MIDAS PRO6 spearheads digital roll-out in Belgium
Leading Belgium rental company Sound Inc, based in Roeselare, West Flanders has chosen a MIDAS PRO6 to spearhead its move into digital, becoming the second Belgian rental company to invest in a MIDAS large format digital console.
According to Axel Nagtegaal, MD of distributor MIDAS Consoles Benelux, this marks a milestone in the Belgian market. "Sound Inc chose the MIDAS PRO6 to support their future growth plans," he explains. "With Jan Durant spearheading the MIDAS digital march in Belgium, I am confident that more PRO Series deliveries shall follow soon."
Sound Inc specialists in pro audio for the live arena since 2002, has long experience of MIDAS consoles, with XL200s, XL3s, Legend 3000s and H3s all featuring in its portfolio over the years. Jan Durant, Sound Inc founder and MD, who had previously rented a number of digital consoles of various brands, says purchasing the PRO6 was the logical step.
"At first we were worried that by going digital we would lose out on sound quality," he reports. "However the PRO6 delivers that wonderful warm MIDAS sound, just like its analogue counterparts."
With sound quality assured, Durant is free to appreciate the digital advantages of the PRO6, particularly the POP(ulation) groups and the Area B, where "all your channels are right at hand."
Sound Inc's PRO6 is now the company's flagship console and has already won admirers. "We've used the PRO6 for two bands so far, and they were blown away by it," says Durant. "With the console already booked for some 80 gigs in the coming year its fan club is only going to grow."
