LEADING DUTCH VENUE STAYS TRUE TO MIDAS BRAND
Leading Dutch pop venue De Oosterpoort has purchased two Midas Heritage consoles, an H4000 and an H1000, from Midas Consoles Benelux.
The Heritages, being used for front of house and monitors respectively, replace the long-serving Midas XL4 and XL3 consoles in the main hall of De Oosterpoort. However, demonstrating the longevity of Midas analogue consoles, both of these have been retained by the venue and are being deployed in other parts of the building.
The sound department decided unanimously to remain loyal to the Midas brand as De Oosterport hosts many domestic and international acts. It was felt that the familiarity and ease of use of the Heritages is second to none, and that all visiting engineers would immediately feel at home with the house consoles.
"The Midas analogue world standard is proving to still be the best choice for our venue," says De Oosterpoort chief audio engineer Pieter Stovee.
