MIDAS BRINGS LEGENDARY PERFORMANCE TO LAKERIDGE CHURCH
A new 48-input Midas Legend 3000 mixing console is making a strong sonic impression at FOH position in the 1200-seat Sanctuary at LakeRidge United Methodist Church in Lubbock, Texas.
“We purchased the console through Moyer's Sound Solutions here in Lubbock, and it was installed at the end of March,” says Elec Winner, Director of Technical Ministries at LakeRidge. “I’m happy to report that the Senior Pastor immediately noticed an improvement in the natural sound of his voice during soundcheck on the day the console was installed. And that was without the EQ inserted—the console it replaced couldn’t hold a candle to the audio quality the Midas has right out of the box! This last Sunday was the first time we really put the Legend 3000 through its paces; not only did everything go off without a hitch, but the Minister of Music—my direct supervisor—said it was the best-sounding service he’d heard in his seven years with the church!
Winner adds: “It’s a lot easier to justify the expense of investing in a tour-quality console when everyone notices such a distinct improvement right off the bat! We’ll get decades of use out of this board. I’d like to thank Matt Larson and the people at Midas—as well as the great sales and support staff—for helping our church fulfill its audio quality potential!”
