FIVE MIDAS XL8s TO STAR AT PROLIGHT + SOUND 2007
Midas will be displaying a grand total of five XL8 live performance systems at Prolight + Sound 2007, Frankfurt. Two of the systems can be found in Hall 4.1: one on the PADCO stand C55 and the other, a full flight cased touring system, on the Bosch Communications Systems, EVI Audio stand E70.
For those who want to hear a XL8 through a large PA system, two more will be performing front of house duties for all three stages at the Agora Tent, handling a range of live performances throughout the day and into the night, while the fifth XL8 will be installed in a private VIP room where Midas will host hands-on demos for the duration of the show.
XL8 is the first of a new generation of open-architecture, cross-platform, integrated audio control and distribution systems, which brings control of not only audio, but other aspects of live performance to a single, intuitive control centre. As well as offering classic Midas audio quality and superb reliability, XL8 improves upon the performance of the analogue consoles which have established the brand as the number one choice of sound engineers the world over. XL8 represents a new generation of networked systems, requiring only mics, amps and speakers to provide a complete audio system. However its open architecture ensures that third-party devices can easily be integrated into the system.
Klark Teknik will be showing its Square ONE range of easily accessible, high-performance audio processors which combines the brand’s no-compromise sonic quality with a feature set containing all the essentials; plus Show Command, an integrated system of hardware, software and Ethernet technology, which provides full control of the audio system including equalisation, management and routing, from a choice of user-interfaces.
Also on display will be the Heritage 3000, Verona, Siena and Venice consoles from the Midas analogue range.
