JANDS AND MIDAS – A WINNING COMBINATION AS FIRST XL8 IS PURCHASED IN AUSTRALIA

Jands Production Services has become one of the first customers worldwide to order the new Midas XL8 live performance system, and the first Australian company to invest in it, having purchased a complete system from local distributor APAC Audio.

Jands has a long history of embracing new Midas products, being one of the first production companies to invest in the revolutionary Midas XL3 in the early nineties and the first in Australia to purchase an XL4. The company’s commitment and belief in Midas has continued through the years, and today it owns the largest inventory of Midas in the South Pacific, including both XL4 and Heritage 3000 flagship analogue consoles as well as Verona and Siena workhorses.

Now, with an order for the first of this new digital platform in the region, Jands has once more stepped up to the mark, becoming the sole provider of XL8 for hire in Australia. As per Midas’ criteria that training and support of the platform is a critical part of its ownership, Jands personnel will attend training at the manufacturer’s UK factory in the set up, operation, servicing and support of the platform to ensure that there are qualified engineers at hand to provide seamless and reliable operation.

“The pedigree that Midas has established as a ‘first choice’ and rider friendly console helped to make this a logical choice for Jands,” says APAC’s managing director Colin Formston. “The release of the XL8 incorporating the ‘classic’ Midas sound brings a new level of sonic performance to the world of digital consoles.”

Jands Production Services has been the established leader in the provision of sound for concert, touring, theatre, corporate and special events in Australia for over 30 years.
