Ultimate Flexibility: The L3000 is a uniquely flexible live performance console that brings new concepts and ideas to the live console arena. As a FOH console the Legend 3000 is fully specified and with 12 mix busses it can easily handle monitors too. But that is only half its capability; for the first time it is possible to mix monitors and FOH on the same console with separate EQ, fader, mute, solo and VCA master functions.

Dual Bussing and Signal Path: Building on from the Heritage 3000's switched bussing the Legend 3000 takes the concept one step further by providing the addition of separate signal paths for FOH and monitors. With a simple switch press mix busses and appropriate input channels can be transferred from FOH to monitor signal path providing an unprecedented level of independent control.

Semi Modular Construction: To get even more features per dollar the construction of the Legend 3000 is a break from tradition. Individual modules have been replaced with 8 wide blocks that hinge up for easy removal and servicing. To maintain high reliability each channel within a block is electrically independent of the others with separate power rails and fuses etc.

XL4 Mic Pre Amps: The Legend 3000 features the proven XL4 mic pre amplifier. This is a low distortion, constant HF bandwidth topology, which assures excellent amplifier stability, RF rejection and noise performance at all gain settings.

FOH Equaliser: The sonic performance of the legendary XL3 equaliser is fully maintained including the full parametric mid's and traditional Midas bass and treble shelving responses. Each band is permanently assigned to the FOH signal path and can also be individually assigned to act on monitor signals too if desired.

Monitor Equaliser: The monitor signal path features two wide sweep, bell response bands which cover the entire audio spectrum with ample frequency overlap. These can be used alone to equalise the monitor signals or in conjunction with selected bands from the FOH equaliser.

Direct Outputs: Every input module is fitted with a direct output as standard.

Inserts: Each channel has a half normalised fully balanced insert send and return point that can be switched pre or post FOH equaliser from the front panel.

Audio Busses: With 8 audio sub groups, 12 aux (mix) busses and 3 master (SIS TM) busses, the Legend 3000 is well equipped to handle the vast majority of live applications. Additionally the group and aux routing is fully automated and global master switching is provided to change the aux busses into monitor mix busses.

Spacial Image System: Each input module is fitted with the Midas Spacial Imaging System (SIS TM) for use with Left, Centre, Right speaker systems. When SIS TM is engaged the pan pot maintains left/right balance control while the unique image control provides intuitive control of the centre focus and the power levels that are fed to the centre speaker. This can be particularly useful for distributing the load of high energy, centre panned sounds across all the FOH speaker arrays.

VCA Groups and Mute Groups: Each channel signal path can be independently controlled by any combination of the 10 VCA master faders and 10 mute masters. Assignment of these busses is also under automation control.

Stereo Aux Returns: Every Legend frame size features 4 Stereo Aux Return modules with 4 band EQ, and dual signal path/bussing for FOH and monitor applications.

Edac Link Capability: All busses have direct inputs and outputs provided on EDAC connectors for easy console linking of audio and a CAN bus connection that realises system control linking of all other functions. Input channel mic inputs and direct outputs are also available on Edac.

Automation: The automation system is derived from the proven Heritage Console Series and can store and recall up to 500 snapshot scenes including, all major console Mutes **, Automute group assignments, audio and VCA group assignments plus 4 MIDI messages per scene. (** except master LCR)

Mechanical and Electronic Design of modules: All module panels are 1.5mm thick zinc plated steel with multiple connecting points to the 2.4mm thick military grade FR4 pcbs.

Frame: A zinc plated steel chassis with a large internal box section provides a rugged mechanical structure and effective electromagnetic screening.

Faders: High quality Alps faders used throughout.

Amp design: Low noise types used throughout.

Buss design: Low noise virtual earth topology with hum and HF interference cancelling systems.

Components: Mechanically stable, sealed, Alps pcb type design used throughout

Tight tolerance resistors and capacitors used as standard.

Warranty: Midas has confidence in their products resulting in an industry beating 3 -year warranty.
